Explore Beautiful Blue City - Jodhpur Cab Services

Jodhpur, the second largest city in Rajasthan, is popularly known as the Blue City. The name is befitting, as most of the architecture—forts, palaces, temples, havelis, and even houses are built in vivid shades of blue. The strapping forts that tower this magnificent city sum up to a spectacle you would not want to miss. The mammoth, imposing fortress of Mehrangarh has a landscape dominating a rocky ridge with eight gates leading out of the fortress. The new city is located outside the structure. Let’s visit them with Jodhpur Cab Services. It is also known for the rare breed of horses known as Marwari or Malani, which are only found here.

To the left is the chhatri of Kirat Singh Soda, a soldier who fell on the spot while defending the fort against the army of Amber. There are seven gates, which include Jayapol, meaning victory, built by Maharaja Man Singh to commemorate his victories over the Jaipur and Bikaner armies. Victory Gate View Fatehpol also meaning victory gate was built by Maharaja Ajit Singh to mark the defeat of the Mughals. The palm imprints still attract devotional attention and are covered by vermilion paste and paper-thin silver foil.
